Scanning cows in counties Kilkenny and Waterford

We scanned 2 large dairy herds in Co. Waterford and Co. Kilkenny. Neither of these clients had to house cows during the wet summer months this year. The overall reproductive performance in those herds was the best they had seen for the previous 10 years. This would be in stark contrast to that seen in West Limerick and North Kerry. We have reports of clients having to sell their farm because they will not have enough money for feed this autumn and winter.

ReproDoc provide us with reproductive assessment of our cows prior to breeding – early non-pregnancy diagnosis, assessment of cows with reproductive problems, accurate ageing of pregnancies in particular where stock bulls are used towards the latter half of the breeding programmes and the sexing of pregnancies which is used from management of cows prior to calving to avoid calving difficulty. All scans are accurate which is most important. Prior to using Reprodoc, I had other men in scanning and did not get this accuracy which was a disaster.
