Spastic Paraparesis and identical twins

On a farm visit in County Limerick. Scanning cows reveals a dam line with Spastic paraparesis and identical twins. We encountered a maiden heifer which was not walking correctly on her left rear leg. This heifer had spastic paraparesis which was corrected by surgical cutting of a tendon in the hind leg. This is a heritable trait which can be traced back to the heifer in question.
