Scanning cows reveals the importance of data recovery for report generation

Visited a dairy farmer outside Rathcormac, Co. Cork where we had excellent records of events pertaining to his herd. Recorded from the time cows calved right through to the breeding program. This information was relayed to our central database, and from there to our handheld computer, which in turn bluetoothed the information to my headset when we scanned the cows. This dramatically improves the power to accurately age pregnancies in the second and third trimester gestation.Our on board technology now enables us to print off a report, detailing the events of the scan and relay of the scan data, to the clients database.

ReproDoc provide us with reproductive assessment of our cows prior to breeding – early non-pregnancy diagnosis, assessment of cows with reproductive problems, accurate ageing of pregnancies in particular where stock bulls are used towards the latter half of the breeding programmes and the sexing of pregnancies which is used from management of cows prior to calving to avoid calving difficulty. All scans are accurate which is most important. Prior to using Reprodoc, I had other men in scanning and did not get this accuracy which was a disaster.
