Scanning cows reveals previous scan history an aid to ageing pregnancies
On a farm visit to Co. Carlow we visited a client to scan a herd of dairy cows, where the stock bull was running until 28 days ago. The last visit was 146 days ago.
We now have a software system which provides me with a history of the cow scanned. This includes the previous scan history, this was advantageous for the ageing of pregnancies in cows, that were previously scanned not pregnant. Diagnostic assessment of these animals enabled me to accurately age pregnancies that were 140 to 170 days pregnant. This would be a new feature of our business, with accurate ageing of pregnancies, where the interscan visits are in excess of 3 months.
