Mummified foetus is major concern on 2 dairy farms
We scanned 20 cows with mummified foetuses between 2 dairy farms. Neospora is the biggest risk factor associated with this condition. On 1 of the farms 4 dams and their daughters had mummified pregnancies which would be supportive of Neospora. Increased stress on cows will increase the risk of mummified calves. Liver Fluke would be a classical predisposing factor to Neospora causing foetal death.
