Jersey stock bulls have bad temperament

On a farm visit outside Kilworth, Co. Cork, we scanned a herd of dairy cows and a batch of 30 maiden heifers which were running with a Jersey stock bull.  I knew from the beginning that this bull was dangerous because of his behaviour.  This issue was agreed on by the client who was in the process of isolating the bull after we had scanned the heifers and sending him to a factory as he was not safe to be around.  He had completed his first working season with them and has to be culled.  The client is now of the opinion that any Jersey stock bull can only be kept for one breeding season and then culled.
